Mount Ijen is one of the active volcano located in East Java, Indonesia. The mountain, famed for its unique Blue Fire, has become one the symbols of Banyuwangi. The blue fire phenomenon, caused by the ignation of sulfur gasses and the rocks from the crater, only appears in 2 country in the whole world. This fire, can only be seen clearly at night time, offers magnetic picture alongside of the crater.
Aside from that, the mountain also have the acidic lake, emerald in color, the dead forest consist of broken trees caused by acidic gas, and the overall view from the top which will be amazing to remember after.

The hike to reach the top of the mountain will usually take around 1 – 1.5 hours, with a distance of 3,4 km. It will take another 20 minutes or 750 m walk to reach the crater. The sulfur gas can be dangerous for long interaction, but wearing gas masks will eleminate the risks to some degree. A guide is mostly needed for the hike as there are some part of the mountain, especially the crater area, that needs special attention. The guides is local people who are adapt and experienced in hiking Ijen. Wearing something comfortable and warm should be advised for a more enjoyable hike.

Mount Bromo is one of the active volcano located in East Java, Indonesia. The crater is famous for being accesible for tourist. The stunning sunrise seen from atop of the mountain, is something otherworldly. The sight of beautiful floating clouds covering mountain slope, the green lush from the mountain, and a few mountain standing close form each other, will mesmerize every person who witnessed it. It is one spot you should not miss to visit in Indonesia.

There are a few viewpoint that one can enjoy: Kingkong Hills, Seruni Hills, Prau Hills and Penanjakan 1. When reach the top, one can see 3 mountains in 1 frame; Mt. Bromo, Mt. Batok, and Mt. Semeru. The way to the crater consist of stairs that is also used by local (Tengger tribe) sometimes for ritual purpose. There is also a Hindu temple located 1 km away from the crater. Jeep usually is used to explore the mountain. It is needed because there are some part of the mountain that is sandy, and bumpy. A picture on top of a jeep at Widodaren Valley is the most popular thing to do. The best time to hike would be before sunrise, but even during day time the mountain will still be majestic and stunning. Warm and comfortable clother is advised to wear.

Day 2

02.30- 03.00 am : waking up time, preparing for Bromo hike
O3.00 am : start of Bromo trip. The jeep driver will take you to the sunrise point, Kingkong Hill or Penanjakan Hill. We’ll try to take you to less-crowded spot with best view.

01.30 am : Arrive at basecamp Paltuding area (Prepare equipment while waiting for climbing hours)
02.00 : Start climbing
03.30am : Arrive at blue fire spot area
04.00 am - 05.00 am : Start going to view point
05.00 am - 05.30 am : Arrive at the view point/sunrise points (spent time enjoying the mountain)
07.00 am : Return to basecamp Paltuding area
08.00 am : Arrive in Paltuding area  (Break and morning snack), *time spent in the mountain is flexible*
08.30 am : go back to the hotel
10.00 am : arrive back at the hotel , prepare drop off Ketapang harbour, End trip

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF INTO EAST JAVA

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a tour with INTO EAST JAVA, you agree to these terms and conditions. You are responsible for reading and understanding these terms before making a reservation.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Deposit:

• A 30% non-refundable deposit of the total tour price is required for tours departing from Bali, or Surabaya.

2.2 Balance Payment:

• The remaining balance can be paid in cash to the designated guide/driver upon arrival.

2.3 Payment Methods:

• Payments can be made via credit card (PayPal) or other methods specified by INTO EAST JAVA.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Cancellation by INTO EAST JAVA:

• Full refunds will be issued if INTO EAST JAVA cancels the tour, except in cases of force majeure (see Section 5).

3.2 Cancellation by Customer:

• Full refund if cancelled at least 30 days before departure.
• No refund for cancellations made on the departure day.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 Mid-Tour Cancellation:

• No refunds if guests decide to terminate the tour after it has begun, for any reason.

4.2 Force Majeure Events:

• If natural disasters (e.g., landslides, earthquakes) occur after the tour begins, INTO EAST JAVA will seek alternative solutions. (No refunds.)

4.3 Weather-Related Issues:

• Weather is beyond our control. Tours operate rain or shine, as mountain conditions (e.g., Bromo/Ijen) are unpredictable.
• No refunds or discounts if weather affects visibility or the overall experience.

4.4 Customer Acknowledgment:
By booking, guests accept the risks of outdoor tours, including unfavorable weather.

5. Force Majeure

INTO EAST JAVA is not liable for cancellations or disruptions due to uncontrollable events (e.g., natural disasters, war, government policies). Alternatives may be offered, but no refunds will be issued.

6. Itinerary Changes

INTO EAST JAVA reserves the right to modify routes due to emergencies (e.g., weather, road closures). Suitable alternatives will be provided, but additional costs are the guest’s responsibility.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance covering medical costs, injuries, and loss/damage of personal items. INTO EAST JAVA is not responsible for losses due to uninsured travelers.

8. Health and Safety

• Guests must ensure they are physically fit and healthy for the tour.
• Disclose medical conditions during booking.
• INTO EAST JAVA may refuse participation if a guest is deemed unfit.

9. Conduct

Guests must behave respectfully toward staff, fellow travelers, and locals. INTO EAST JAVA may remove disruptive guests without refund.
